Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Fusion, lease accounting, cost accounting, and account reconciliations. This role requires a hands-on manager who can oversee accounts payable processes and lead a team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and maintaining the accuracy of financial records. This role involves managing workflows and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. The Accounting Manager leads a team of accounting professionals, fosters process improvements, and collaborates with senior leadership on financial strategies.
Responsibilities Include:
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, including Accounts Payable staff, providing training, performance feedback, and leadership to enhance team effectiveness. Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial transactions, and accounts payable activities. Lead specialized accounting functions such as lease accounting and cost accounting analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. Monitor cash flow, budgets, and expense management to align financial performance with organizational objectives. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. Ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. Collaborate with external auditors during audits and support the preparation of tax filings and regulatory reports. Utilize and optimize accounting systems, including Oracle Fusion, to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities. Develop and implement improvements to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to strengthen operational efficiency and mitigate risk. Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, and Human Resources to support business objectives and provide financial insights and recommendations to leadership.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Proven experience with Oracle Fusion ERP system. Strong knowledge of lease accounting standards and practices. Experience in cost accounting and account reconciliations. Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable processes. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
