Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our finance team and oversee all aspects of financial accounting and reporting. This pivotal role requires a proactive leader with a strong foundation in accounting principles, compliance standards, and financial management practices. As an integral part of our organization, you will ensure accurate financial statement preparation, regulatory compliance, and effective internal controls. Your expertise will drive financial integrity and support strategic decision-making across the company, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Manage the full spectrum of corporate accounting functions, including general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable management, and bank reconciliations. Oversee financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act). Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliation, financial report writing, and interpretation of financial data. Ensure accuracy in regulatory reporting, including tax filings where applicable, and maintain adherence to accounting standards across all financial activities. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on technical accounting issues. Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with policies and procedures; implement improvements to enhance internal controls and mitigate risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial planning initiatives to support organizational growth. Handle sensitive confidential information with integrity while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting and finance roles with a strong background in SAP or similar financial software. Extensive knowledge of GAAP standards, double-entry bookkeeping, and regulatory compliance protocols. Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting areas including SOX compliance and manufacturing sector accounting. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—particularly spreadsheets—and advanced financial report writing and analysis skills. Experience mentoring or supervising accounting teams; ability to foster professional development within your team. Familiarity with international accounting practices and experience managing accounts payable/receivable processes across multiple jurisdictions is preferred. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately; adept at balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and journal entry preparation. Knowledge of tax regulations related to wills, trusts & estate law is a plus; familiarity with auditing processes is highly desirable.
