Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead daily accounting operations in Lake Charles, Louisiana. This role oversees key financial activities, supports accurate reporting, and helps ensure the department runs efficiently and in compliance with organizational standards. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, sound accounting knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with management and audit partners.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the day-to-day work of payroll staff, accounts payable team members, and accounting personnel to maintain accurate and timely financial operations.
  • Direct accounting department activities while providing hands-on support across core functions such as reconciliations, reporting, and close processes.
  • Monitor and maintain accounting systems and applications, helping ensure financial data is recorded properly and reports are prepared accurately.
  • Partner with leadership as well as internal and external auditors by providing clear communication, documentation, and follow-up on accounting matters.
  • Safeguard confidential information, including sensitive financial and patient-related records, in accordance with privacy and compliance expectations.
  • Contribute to cost-control and productivity efforts by identifying efficiencies and supporting departmental and hospital performance goals.
  • Apply department policies and organizational guidelines consistently while helping implement updated procedures when needed.
  • Participate in required meetings and support additional accounting-related duties as business needs evolve.
