Job Description
Accounting Manager with Construction Experience Established local company has an immediate opening for an Accounting Manager with Construction experience. Must have experience with job costing software. Experience with Foundation construction accounting software is highly desirable. The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the company's day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring that accounting transactions, job costs, billings, payables, receivables, reconciliations, and related financial information are processed accurately and timely. The position serves as the primary accounting leader between the accounting staff and Controller, providing direction, review, problem resolution, and oversight of accounting activities. The Accounting Manager assists the Controller with month-end close, financial reporting, job costing, WIP analysis, cash management, audits, budgeting, and other financial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial reporting & month-end close Accounts payable / accounts receivable oversight Job costing and WIP / over-under Billing and retainage Payroll coordination Bank and GL reconciliations Cash flow and AR collections Construction accounting software (Foundation) Aspire software / division accounting Internal controls and audit support Budgeting and forecasting Supervision of accounting staff Vendor/customer management Process improvement and accounting procedures Management reporting Coordination with operations and project managers Participate in implementation and improvement of systems such as Foundation, Aspire, QuickBooks Online, WorkMax, and related accounting platforms, as applicable. Review accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and other balance sheet accounts.
