Job Description Position Summary The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing routine processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, monthly statements to congregations, reconciling payroll/benefits and related AR, and for assuring the accuracy of reoccurring monthly journal entries. They are responsible for maintaining daily check registers in Excel for all bank account activity, processing credit card and PE card charges, maintaining Excel workbooks, reconciling assigned GL and Balance Sheet accounts as necessary, and producing annual 1099's. The Accounting Manager assists the CFO with maintaining an accurate Chart of Accounts structure in Financial Edge, coordinating the month-end and year-end close, and has a key role in providing assigned workpapers necessary to execute the annual audit.
