Equality Asset Management (EAM), a Boston based Private Equity firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our Private Equity investment team. The Associate will play a critical role in all aspects of the investment process, with a focus on sourcing new investment opportunities, developing data-driven investment theses and supporting transaction execution. This is a full-time, in-person position based in EAM's Boston office, Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities Deal Sourcing & Evaluation Conduct in-depth industry, market, and company research across software and technology sectors Source, evaluate and maintain a pipeline of investment opportunities aligned with the firm's strategy and sector focus Participate in introductory calls and ongoing discussions with founders and executives Assist in developing investment theses and preparing investment committee materials Transaction Execution Support all phases of deal execution including due diligence, financial modeling, valuation analysis and deal structuring Prepare presentations and analyses for internal discussions, investment committee meetings and lender conversations Participate in management meetings, lender discussions and diligence sessions Qualifications Required 2-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, transaction advisory or a related financial role Excellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical and financial modeling skills High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Personal Attributes Intellectual curiosity, particularly around software businesses and emerging market trends Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to think critically about investment merits and risks Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude and collaborative mindsetSimilar remote jobs
