Job Description Manage accounting, financial analysis, and reporting activities for a portfolio of real estate entities and assets. Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes are accurate, timely, and professionally prepared. Review and approve financial workpapers, bank reconciliations, escalation billings, budgets, analyses, and GAAP reporting. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of property accountants and support their professional development. Partner closely with property management, leasing, construction, asset management, and other internal teams. Play a key role in the annual budgeting process and monthly financial reporting for senior management. Help enforce internal controls, identify process or procedural gaps, and implement effective improvements. Support and improve the use of property management and accounting systems, including Yardi and MRI. Provide hands-on accounting support during periods of high volume, deadlines, team transitions, or employee absences. Lead special projects and contribute to department-wide initiatives and process improvements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. 2+ years of commercial real estate or property accounting experience. 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience with monthly close, budgeting, reconciliations, and financial analysis. Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Yardi and MRI experience is preferred. CPA is preferred. Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
