Job Description

Part-Time Finance and Accounting Manager Location:
Annapolis, MD Schedule:
Approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility by mutual agreement Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Finance and Accounting Manager for St. Anne's Parish. This person will handle day-to-day accounting for the parish, its preschool, and its cemetery operations. The role requires someone who can work independently, keep accurate records, and handle confidential information with care. What you'll do Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, vendor records, and financial files. Record and classify receipts, deposits, expenses, transfers, and reimbursements. Process approved accounts payable and reconcile bank and credit card accounts. Track restricted and designated funds accurately. Prepare or support financial statements, budget-to-actual reports, and month-end and year-end close. Maintain accounting records for the preschool, including tuition and fee reconciliations. Support payroll administration, personnel documentation, and contribution records. Prepare documentation for annual audits or reviews and flag discrepancies promptly. Required qualifications A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field or equivalent professional experience . Hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience with accounts payable, account reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting . Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks or comparable accounting software . Strong spreadsheet skills. Ability to work independently, follow established financial controls, meet deadlines, and protect confidential financial, donor, and personnel information. Availability for approximately 20 hours per week , with some flexibility around payroll, month-end, budgeting, and audits.
Strongly preferred:
Experience in nonprofit, church, school, or fund accounting. Please submit a resume and cover letter describing your relevant accounting experience.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Do you have strong spreadsheet skills and experience using spreadsheets for accounting or financial reporting? Are you available to work approximately 20 hours per week in Annapolis, with some scheduling flexibility around payroll and month-end deadlines?
