Job Description
Overview Finance Manager (F&I Manager) serves as the bridge between the sales department, lending institutions, and the customer. Their primary responsibility is to help customers secure financing while protecting dealership profitability and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Core Purpose The Finance Manager's role is to: Arrange financing and lease contracts. Present and sell protection products. Ensure all paperwork is accurate and compliant. Increase dealership profitability through back-end gross profit. Create a professional and transparent delivery experience for customers. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancing & Lending Review customer credit applications. Submit deals to banks and lending partners. Negotiate approval terms and rates. Structure financing to meet customer payment goals and lender requirements. Secure funding for contracted deals. Product Sales Offer and explain vehicle protection products such as: Extended Service Contracts GAP Protection Maintenance Plans Tire & Wheel Protection Appearance Protection Theft Protection Programs Compliance & Documentation Complete all finance and lease paperwork accurately. Follow federal, state, and lender regulations. Protect the dealership from compliance violations and chargebacks. Maintain deal jacket integrity and audit readiness. Customer Experience Review contract terms and obligations. Explain financing options clearly. Address customer concerns regarding payments, coverage, and products. Ensure a smooth and professional delivery process. Importance to the Dealership The Finance Department is typically one of the dealership's largest profit centers.
