Insight Restoration is looking for an experienced Controller & Technical Accounting Manager to take ownership of the accuracy, integrity, and technical side of our accounting operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys digging into the details, improving systems, and turning complex financial information into clear, reliable answers for leadership. It is not a traditional Controller position filled with meetings and high-level oversight —you'll be actively working in the numbers, systems, and processes that drive the business. What You'll Own General ledger accuracy, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close Financial statements, cash flow, A/R, gross profit, and management reporting Job costing and profitability reporting for mitigation and reconstruction projects Advanced Excel models, analysis, reconciliations, and reporting tools QuickBooks and integrations across payroll, expense, timekeeping, job-management, and other accounting systems Internal controls, accounting procedures, and process improvements Payroll and benefits accounting reconciliations T&M billing, documentation, and reconciliation Accounting and payroll/billing reconciliation for an affiliated company Financial support for contracts, agreements, audits, tax preparation, and special projects You'll Be a Great Fit If You… Have strong technical accounting knowledge and understand accounting beyond simply entering transactions Are exceptionally strong in Excel Love finding discrepancies and figuring out why something doesn't balance Have experience with month-end close, financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting Are highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented Can research complicated problems and develop practical solutions Enjoy improving systems and creating repeatable processes Can work independently and take full ownership of your responsibilities Can explain complex financial information clearly to leadership Experience with QuickBooks, job costing, construction/restoration accounting, payroll systems, ADP, T&M billing, or ERP/CRM integrations is a strong plus.
