Accounting Manager

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to support day-to-day accounting operations for a growing business in Richfield, Ohio. This role will oversee core financial activities across payables, receivables, general ledger management, and monthly close while helping maintain accurate reporting and sound financial controls. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically capable, and comfortable solving problems independently while building strong working relationships across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full-cycle bookkeeping function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and daily transaction review.
• Maintain the general ledger with accuracy and prepare timely financial statements that support business decision-making.
• Lead month-end close activities by reconciling accounts, reviewing entries, and resolving discrepancies.
• Process check runs and coordinate a high volume of outgoing payments with strong attention to accuracy and timing.
• Support order processing activities by ensuring financial records and related transactions are captured correctly.
• Monitor accounting procedures and internal controls to promote proper oversight and reduce risk.
• Investigate accounting issues, troubleshoot exceptions, and recommend practical solutions to keep operations moving efficiently.
• Work within accounting systems, preferably Epicor P21, to manage financial data and improve day-to-day effectiveness.
