An Accounting Manager manages the accounting department of a company or organization. Directs the accounting staff that prepare financial statements and business activity and forecasting reports and tax filings. Monitors accounting data. Implements and manages accounting policies and procedures. Advises management with regard to finance decisions.
The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting and financial management functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, tax compliance, internal controls, and strategic financial analysis. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information while supporting business growth through sound financial planning and decision-making. Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, reconciliations, and financial reporting. 2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; lead month-end and year-end closing processes. 3. Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning and business decisions. 4. Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, profitability, cash flow, and key performance indicators, and provide recommendations to leadership. 5. Ensure financial records and reporting are maintained in accordance with U.S. accounting standards (GAAP), regulatory requirements, and company policies. 6. Oversee inventory valuation, cost accounting, and manufacturing cost analysis to support operational efficiency and profitability. 7. Maintain banking relationships and manage cash flow to support business operations and growth. 8. Supervise and develop accounting staff while driving process improvements, system enhancements, and cross-functional collaboration. 9. Abide by all safe work policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required, with a CPA designation preferred. 2. Plus a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience. 3. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. 4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems required, with experience in ERP systems and other financial reporting tools, preferred. 5. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with an excellent ability to communicate. 6. Applied mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude a plus! 7. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
