Client Accounting & Advisory Professional - Sedalia, MO (Accounting + Technology + Business Advisory) Anchor Point Advisory Group | CPA Firm | Full-Time Flexible Schedule + Competitive Pay + Bonus + Growth Track Anchor Point Advisory Group in Sedalia, MO is focused on helping businesses and nonprofits not just keep up with their numbers—but actually use them to make better decisions. What You'll Do In this role, you'll work closely with business owners and nonprofit leaders to manage their day-to-day accounting, improve processes, and turn financial data into something useful.
Core responsibilities include:
Manage and oversee full-cycle accounting for multiple clients (monthly close, reconciliations, financial reporting, etc.) Work extensively in QuickBooks Online and related apps to maintain accurate, real-time financials Help clients clean up, streamline, and improve their accounting systems and workflows Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency—then help implement them Deliver clear, timely financial reports and help clients understand what the numbers mean Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning conversations Serve as a go-to contact for clients—responsive, proactive, and solutions-oriented Collaborate with our tax and advisory teams to ensure a seamless client experience Who We're Looking For Someone who enjoys both the technical side of accounting and the people side. Someone who sees messy processes and thinks, "there's a better way to do this." You're a great fit if you have: A degree in accounting or relevant hands-on experience (CPA preferred but not required) Experience with full-cycle accounting (public accounting or industry) Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (or similar cloud-based systems) A mindset geared toward process improvement, efficiency, and smart use of technology The ability to manage multiple clients and priorities with attention to detail Strong communication skills—you can explain financials in plain language A proactive, problem-solving approach (you don't wait to be asked) Interest in working closely with small businesses and nonprofits to help them grow What Makes This Role Different This isn't a traditional "behind-the-scenes" accounting role.
