Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Specialist/Team Lead to join our healthcare finance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end revenue cycle processes, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations. As a team leader, you will guide and mentor staff, optimize workflows, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize revenue and enhance operational efficiency. Your expertise in hospital revenue cycle management, medical billing, and insurance regulations will be instrumental in maintaining the financial health of our organization. Duties Lead and manage the revenue cycle team to ensure accurate and efficient billing, and collections processes. Oversee medical billing operations, including electronic health records (EHR) management and insurance third-party billing. Ensure compliance with all healthcare billing regulations such as Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance policies. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid or denied claims to optimize cash flow. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper medical coding, including ICD coding, to support accurate billing. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare billing management practices and regulatory changes affecting revenue cycle activities. Implement process improvements using billing software tools and Microsoft Office, Google and other applications to streamline workflows. Provide training, guidance, and supervision to team members on healthcare billing management and regulatory compliance. Conduct audits of billing procedures to ensure adherence to medical billing regulations compliance and identify areas for improvement. Manage relationships with clients and their office staff. Assisting and filling in for staff as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in revenue cycle management or healthcare billing management with a strong understanding of medical billing regulations compliance. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams in a healthcare setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with billing software systems. In-depth knowledge of health insurance policies, Medicare regulations, Medicaid regulations, and ICD coding standards. Strong understanding of electronic health records (EHR) management systems and medical coding practices. Excellent communication skills for collaborating across departments and with external payers. Ability to analyze financial data related to revenue cycle performance and implement effective solutions. Knowledge of hospital revenue cycle processes from patient registration through final payment collection.
