This is a great opportunity for an accounting or finance professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats and having a direct impact on the mission-driven non-profit organization in Asheville, North Carolina. What you'll do: Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations Assist with payroll processing and related accounting Track and properly allocate expenses and revenue to grants and funding sources Support the annual audit process, including preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to requests Assist with month-end close and financial reporting as needed Monitor purchasing and organizational expenses Develop, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve consistency and efficiency Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and overall operational efficiency Partner with leadership and staff across the organization on financial and operational initiatives Take ownership of special projects and other responsibilities as needed What we're looking for: 2-5 years of accounting or finance experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and general accounting principles Experience with payroll, grant accounting, and/or audits preferred Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
