Job Description

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Division Accounting Manager to lead financial reporting, accounting operations, compliance, forecasting, and financial analysis across multiple locations. This role will oversee a team of accounting and finance professionals and serve as a key partner to divisional and operational leadership. The ideal candidate is a CPA with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and strong experience with financial reporting, month-end close, internal controls, audits, forecasting, and ERP/reporting systems. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Month-End Close Lead the monthly financial close process, including review and completion of journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP. Ensure timely and accurate divisional financial reporting, variance analysis, and financial reporting requirements. Maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. Ensure appropriate segregation of duties and effective internal controls. Manage external, internal, and SOX audits. Serve as a key point of contact for financial and regulatory compliance activities. Planning, Forecasting & Financial Analysis Coordinate the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and rolling forecast processes. Manage accounting for rebates and sales discount programs. Manage cash accounts and related financial activities. Monitor and optimize balance sheet accounts, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory. Provide financial analysis and decision support to divisional and operational leadership. Communicate financial results, trends, and key business drivers to leadership. Systems, Data & Process Improvement Serve as a key user and subject matter expert for ERP and financial reporting systems. Support corporate consolidations, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Champion accounting process standardization, automation, and data integrity. Lead system enhancements, process improvements, and user training. Ensure accounting systems and processes comply with corporate guidelines. Support the transition and implementation of standardized financial systems. Leadership & Collaboration Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team. Establish clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics for team members. Facilitate cross-functional financial reviews with operations and other business functions. Partner with leadership to support business decisions and continuous improvement initiatives. Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and process excellence. Team Leadership This position will supervise a team that includes: Accounts Payable team members supporting multiple domestic locations Financial Analyst Accounting/Finance Intern The position reports to the Divisional Controller and works closely with other accounting, finance, operations, and business leadership teams. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required Active CPA certification required Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Experience with US GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls Experience managing external and internal audits Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Experience managing and developing accounting/finance teams Strong ERP and financial reporting system experience Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership Why Join Opportunity to join a growing organization Leadership role with significant visibility across the business Opportunity to lead accounting operations and process improvement Exposure to multi-location financial operations Opportunity to drive systems, reporting, and process standardization

$125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
