Job Description
The Residential Mortgage Originator is responsible for the origination high quality, prudent mortgage loans based upon the established guidelines of the Bank. Leveraging independent resources along with referrals to effectively increase individual production. Key Responsibilities Act as the Mortgage Loan Originator on assigned inside referrals within designated footprint.
Assist in the pre-qualification of all inquiring customers.
Submit applications that meet all company minimum margins.
Complete a loan application, gather and review customer supportive qualifying documentation (after the applicant has indicated his/her intent to proceed), answer all of their questions and set proper expectations as to our processes, timeframes, and costs. Increase product outreach within surrounding communities to include holding informational sessions in and out of the branch network, working with the Bank's marketing department, and working with other Bank departments.
Develop referral sources and maintain referral sources provided to you. Education & Experience College degree preferred.
Three years of mortgage origination experience in a mortgage banking or banking environment; or, five years of banking experience combined with on the job mortgage banking training. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Lobby/professional office environment with moderate sound.
Manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to thirty (30) pounds.
Ability to travel to branches, off-site training, and/or meetings as needed.
