full-time About the Company Our client, an established consumer goods company, is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and keep financial records accurate, complete, and well controlled. You will manage a team of staff accountants, work closely with leaders across the business, and report to a senior member of the corporate accounting team. About the Role The Accounting Manager will lead day-to-day accounting operations, manage a team of staff accountants, and ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and well controlled while partnering with leaders across the business and reporting to a senior member of the corporate accounting team. Responsibilities Support the month-end close, including review of reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting documentation Own inventory accounting, including periodic adjustments Manage accounting for prepaid expenses, leases, other assets, payroll-related costs, operating expenses, other income and expense, and fixed assets Review new customer and vendor setups and pricing in the company's ERP system Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements, including cash flow and equity Analyze period-over-period variances and explain key business drivers Respond to inquiries from accounting teams across the organization and support special projects for finance leadership Help coordinate internal and external audits Identify process improvements, recommend changes to management, and see them through Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience Consumer goods or related industry experience Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting SAP proficiency and advanced Excel skills
