Job Description
UControl Billing is hiring an experienced Account Manager to own the relationship and performance of a portfolio of medical billing clients. This is a client-facing role and the primary point of contact for multiple healthcare provider accounts. You'll make sure each client's revenue cycle runs smoothly, their questions get answered fast, and their financial results keep improving—working hand-in-hand with our billing, coding, and denial-management teams. This is an on-site position at our Brentwood, NY office. Candidates must be able to reliably commute and work in person. Responsibilities Serve as the dedicated point of contact for a portfolio of provider clients and build trusted, long-term relationships Manage multiple accounts at once—prioritizing across competing deadlines and client needs Lead regular client check-ins, performance reviews, and monthly reporting calls Track KPIs for each account (first-pass acceptance, days in AR, collection rates, denial trends) and drive improvement Review AR aging, rejection, and denial reports; turn the data into clear action plans Coordinate with billing, coding, credentialing, and denial-management teams to keep claims submitted, followed up, and resolved accurately and on time Oversee smooth onboarding for new clients into full-service billing Prepare and present performance reports to providers in clear, practical terms Proactively communicate updates, resolve issues, and escalate at-risk accounts internally with recommended solutions Ensure all work meets HIPAA and compliance standards Requirements 3+ years of client management / account management experience (required) Experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management (RCM) Proven track record managing multiple client accounts or a book of business Strong understanding of the full revenue cycle: charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, denials, and AR follow-up Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and prioritization skills Comfort with billing software and EHR systems (e.g., Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Kareo, AdvancedMD, NextGen, Epic) Able to reliably commute to Brentwood, NY and work on-site (required) Preferred AAPC (CPB/CPC), NHA (CBCS), or AHIMA (CCS) certification Experience across multiple specialties (dermatology, behavioral health, orthopedics, physical therapy, home health, etc.) Experience presenting financial reports and KPIs to physicians or practice administrators Working knowledge of payer rules and
