Company Description
We are seeking an ambitious and strategic Director of Revenue Management to join one of our hotels in New York City. This role is responsible for optimizing hotel revenue and profitability across transient, group, and contract segments. The Director of Revenue Management will oversee pricing, positioning, and inventory management in line with systems, policies, and procedures established by Ennismore.
This leader will develop and execute strategies to maximize rooms revenue and overall hotel profitability through the optimal mix of channels and segments. The role also identifies future business opportunities and works closely with Sales, Marketing, and eCommerce to drive performance. In partnership with the Sales and Marketing team, the Director of Revenue Management will lead the annual rooms revenue budget and business planning process and will be accountable for achieving established KPIs.
Job Description
What you'll do...
Maintain effective yield controls to optimize hotel revenue across all distribution channels, with a strong focus on direct channels.
Monitor and evaluate market demand trends, ensuring rates are accurately loaded and inventory is properly maintained across all systems, including IDeaS, OPERA, and other related platforms.
Prepare and analyze market segmentation reports, production reports, source contribution analysis, daily pick-up reports, and pace summaries to support pricing and inventory decisions.
Identify and coordinate revenue-driving initiatives to further enhance overall hotel performance.
Lead weekly revenue strategy and commercial meetings.
Refine and implement strategies to improve RevPAR Index (RGI) and achieve budget and forecast goals for the property.
Conduct quarterly audits, or more frequently as needed, to ensure strategies are being executed effectively across all channels for optimal profitability.
Ensure the team is effectively managing all distribution channels, including Brand.com, ALL.com, call center, OTAs, GDS, IDS, and CRO.
Partner with Front Office and Operations to maximize upsell opportunities and optimize performance on high-demand and sell-out dates.
Lead pricing, positioning, and distribution strategies across all market segments, with input from the Area/Regional Director or EVP of Revenue Management.
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to shape and execute an integrated commercial strategy that drives total hotel performance.
Provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of revenue management processes, tools, and decision-making.
Lead the annual budgeting and pricing process.
Maintain forecast accuracy within +
- 3% for the hotel.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules based on the business needs of the property.
Qualifications
What we are looking for...
Extensive experience in forecasting, analyzing results, and conducting budgetary analysis.
Strong expertise in sales, revenue management, recruiting, training, and motivating managers.
Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into effective revenue solutions.
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.
Effective communicator across all levels of an organization, with excellent written and presentation skills in English.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in hospitality management, business management, or a related discipline preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive revenue management experience in a full-service property, with a proven record of delivering strong results and innovative solutions.
Sound knowledge of revenue management, reservations, sales, marketing, global distribution systems, and hotel financial statements.
Proficiency in hotel
PMS, CRS, RMS, BI
systems, and external tools such as Demand360 and Agency360.
Proactive, accountable, and solution-oriented, with strong decision-making skills.
Motivated to improve processes, embrace innovation, and leverage AI effectively.
