This role will work closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial information, maintain strong internal controls, and support ongoing growth and process improvements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and looking to grow their accounting career in a collaborative construction environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the monthly and year-end close process, including account reconciliations and journal entries. Assist with preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reports. Oversee payroll processing and related compliance requirements. Review project accounting activities, including job costing, billings, and WIP reporting. Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Coordinate with projects managers on owner billings, subcontractor pay apps and monthly cost projections to ensure accuracy. Coordinate audit requests and support annual financial audits. Develop, document, and improve accounting processes and internal controls. Mentor and support accounting team members while fostering a collaborative work environment. Skills/Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 4+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility. Prior supervisory or management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Must have good work ethic and integrity, dependable, adaptable, cooperative, and motivated. Construction accounting experience preferred. Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum, Paycom, or similar ERP/payroll systems is a plus.
