About the Role As a Manufacturing Cost Analyst, you will serve as a vital partner to our operations and leadership teams, driving financial clarity through rigorous cost analysis and process optimization. You will leverage your expertise in inventory valuation and variance reporting to influence strategic business decisions and improve overall profitability. Responsibilities Maintain and refine standard cost models, incorporating accurate data for materials, labor, and overhead. Collaborate with production teams to identify cost drivers and implement efficiency improvements. Analyze sales data and cost structures to provide actionable insights for pricing strategies. Develop comprehensive cost estimates and financial models to support complex customer quoting processes. Monitor and report on manufacturing variances, focusing on material usage and labor efficiency. Execute key financial close activities related to inventory and cost of goods sold. Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts for manufacturing expenses. Lead the transition and optimization of ERP costing methodologies to ensure accurate financial reporting. Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 3+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing cost accounting role. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights. Comprehensive understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis. Preferred Skills Prior experience within a contract manufacturing environment. Direct experience with Infor CloudSuite Industrial or similar high-level ERP platforms. Demonstrated ability to leverage automation tools or AI to enhance accounting workflows. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial findings to cross-functional stakeholders.
