$100,000 - $120,000Base Salary Industry:
Manufacturing / Industrial About the Opportunity A well-established manufacturing organization in the Chillicothe, Ohio area is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to lead cost accounting functions, support financial decision-making, and drive operational profitability. This position offers the opportunity to partner closely with plant leadership and senior management while playing a key role in financial planning, inventory management, and cost control initiatives. Key Responsibilities Manage all cost accounting activities for manufacturing operations Analyze product costs, manufacturing variances, labor efficiency, and inventory performance Develop and maintain standard costing systems and procedures Lead monthly inventory reconciliations and physical inventory processes Prepare financial analyses and reports for plant and corporate leadership Partner with operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning processes Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies Assist with audits and internal control initiatives Supervise and mentor accounting staff as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including cost accounting in a manufacturing environment Prior leadership or management experience preferred Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $100,000 - $120,000 Comprehensive healthcare benefits 401(k) with company match Paid vacation and holidays Professional development opportunities Stable and growing organization with long-term career growth potential Apply Today If you are an experienced accounting professional with a strong background in manufacturing cost accounting and are ready to take the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply. #LI-onsite #INSEP2026
