Position Summary The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations of a manufacturing facility, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, supporting cost accounting processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role partners closely with production, purchasing, inventory, and operations teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes Supervise cost accounting functions, including product costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis Monitor manufacturing costs and analyze labor, material, and overhead variance Reconcile inventory and coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies Collaborate with sales, customer service, and logistics teams to resolve international billing, payment, and shipping-related financial issues Manage accounting activities related to international customers, including processing and recording international wire transfers, monitoring foreign currency receipts and payments, coordinating with banking institutions, and ensuring timely application of customer payments Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projection Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiencies Coordinate internal and external audits Prepare and file tax-related reports and support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including performance evaluations and professional development Collaborate with production, purchasing, warehouse, and engineering departments to improve financial processes Support ERP system maintenance and process improvement initiative Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA or CMA designation preferrence Experience 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory or management experience Manufacturing accounting and cost accounting experience required Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Deacom, Epicor, or similar preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirement Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong leadership and team management abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment High attention to detail and accuracy

From $90,000.00 per year
