Job Description

Assistant Accounting Manager A well-established organization is seeking an Assistant Accounting Manager to support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and general accounting activities across multiple entities. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on role and is looking to take the next step in their career while working closely with senior leadership. Key Responsibilities Perform monthly bank reconciliations and intercompany account reconciliations for multiple entities Support the monthly close process, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and adjusting entries Prepare consolidated monthly financial statements, management reports, and weekly financial scorecards Manage and support Accounts Receivable activities, including customer inquiries and account resolution Oversee Accounts Payable processes and monthly credit card coding and reconciliations Assist with cost analysis and financial reporting related to manufacturing operations Support year-end close activities and coordinate information and documentation with external CPA partners Assist with preparation of annual tax return documentation and required state/local tax reporting Process and monitor banking transactions, including wires and other financial activity Maintain accurate intercompany records and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and business information Represent the organization with professionalism and integrity at all times Qualifications 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Hands-on month-end close experience required Manufacturing and/or capital equipment industry experience preferred Experience with ERP/accounting systems; SAP Business One experience is a plus Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to prioritize multiple deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented approach EB-1952074418
