The Position Job Title Mortgage Sales Manager Job Description SUMMARY The Sales Manager is responsible for generating mortgage loans based on the same criteria as Mortgage Loan Consultants (MLC), and recruiting, training, and managing assigned Mortgage Loan Consultants based in production centers. This position is directly responsible for loan origination objectives and leadership strategies that will expand market share.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS
) Responsible for recruiting and retention of Mortgage Loan Consultants and business volumes. Responsible for the compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures of all sales employees under his or her supervision, Ensure the management of the professionalism and quality of customer service and teamwork demonstrated by assigned employees. Responsible for maintenance and management of individual loan officer production levels to company standards. Assist, train, and manage Mortgage Loan Consultants in cross selling of bank products. Responsible for the overall quality of loan submissions. Ensure the overall growth of sales team, branch, and/or region Conduct a daily/weekly review of actual team performance against team plan. Include team actions to improve service quality. Conduct and/or participate in assigned production meetings. Proactively respond to and correct any deficiencies. Design, implement, and oversee a business development strategy consistent with FUB policies, objectives, and regulatory guidelines to manage and consistently improve the mortgage lending sales force.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES
Provide leadership through recognizing, coaching, and team building. Ascertain the home financing needs of the FUB branch communities and ensure that marketing efforts are designed to reach all demographic market segments within the communities. Performs other duties as requested by Executive Management or Supervisor. Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis. Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures. Dresses professionally. Recommends to supervisor possible methods to improve department.
EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Work Experience Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Prefer 10 years experience in mortgage lending environment. At least one year of management experience preferred. Proven record of success for generating sales in a mortgage lending environment. Technical/Functional Competencies Possession of strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments. Demonstrated technical knowledge of Bank, mortgage, federal and state lending and compliance/regulatory matters.
