Job Description
This position is responsible for managing the Finance Department in cooperation with the Finance Director and other staff. The role provides financial operations, grant/contract management, billing coordination, and departmental supervision in coordination with staff and leadership. Responsibilities are carried out in accordance with organizational standards, applicable regulations, and program expectations. Essential Position-Specific Duties and Responsibilities Manage and optimize the organization's financial systems, maximizing the advanced capabilities of QuickBooks Online to ensure accurate, efficient data flow across multiple departments. Oversee and execute full-cycle accounting functions, including general ledger management, complex journal entries, reconciliations, and timely month-end/year-end close processes in compliance with GAAP. Lead the financial tracking and reporting for state, federal, and county contracts. Develop and maintain complex cost-allocation models to accurately distribute revenue and expenses across multiple funding sources. Generate and present comprehensive weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and narrative reports for the Executive Director and organizational leadership. Direct Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations to maintain healthy cash flow, and administer organizational payroll while ensuring strict compliance with all payroll tax regulations. Collaborate with leadership to prepare financial data for grant applications, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and medical billing compliance. Supervise, mentor, and oversee the daily duties of the Bookkeeper and other finance staff. Partner with the Finance Director on departmental hiring, performance evaluations, and corrective actions in accordance with BAFS policy. Maintain current knowledge of non-profit accounting standards, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance through ongoing professional training. Training, Experience, and Competency Requirements Minimum education, credentials, and experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, combined with 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience. Ability to use Google Workspace, current BAFS information systems, and other organizational platforms. Ability to learn new systems and technology as organizational needs evolve. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail. Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with leadership.
Driving requirement:
Valid Oregon driver license is required.Additional experience requirements:
Experience with a non-profit program providing addiction recovery services preferred. Experience in non-profit accounting, billing, compliance, or financial management.Pay:
