Job Description
Edge Performance Sports - Ontario, Oregon Edge Performance Sports is looking for an experienced, hands-on Controller/Accounting Manager to join our leadership team in Ontario, Oregon. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being directly involved in the day-to-day accounting functions while also providing financial guidance to company leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with the Owner, Chief Operating Manager, and General Managers to oversee accounting operations, strengthen financial controls, analyze performance, and identify opportunities to improve profitability. This is a key leadership position within a fast-paced and growing powersports dealership. We are looking for someone who is honest, ethical, organized, dependable, analytical, and willing to roll up their sleeves to help the entire team succeed. Primary Responsibilities Oversee the company's daily accounting and financial activities Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reports Maintain the general ledger and ensure accounts are accurate and reconciled Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow reporting Analyze departmental performance, expenses, trends, and financial variances Provide financial presentations and recommendations to the Owner and Chief Operating Officer Develop and maintain effective internal accounting controls Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and improve profitability Evaluate labor costs, wages, productivity, and staffing expenses Ensure financial records and reporting comply with GAAP Assist with applicable human resources responsibilities and employee-related financial matters Work with department managers to improve financial accountability and performance Support year-end reporting, audits, tax preparation, and outside accounting partners Complete additional accounting and leadership responsibilities as needed Manage accounting team Qualifications At least five years of GAAP accounting experience required Previous experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or similar senior accounting professional preferred Strong understanding of financial statements, general ledger accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls Experience with payroll, human resources, or employee benefits is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Dealership, automotive, powersports, or multi-department business experience is a plus
