Job Description

BedMart is a locally owned, family-run retailer specializing in premium mattresses and home furnishings. With a strong commitment to customer service, team support, and continuous improvement, BedMart offers a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. The Accounting Manager role is a hands-on, individual contributor position based in Wilsonville, Oregon. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and taking ownership of key accounting functions. Working closely with the Financial Controller, the Accounting Manager will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial operations and reporting, supporting business decisions, and driving process enhancements. Responsibilities Lead key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and general ledger activity Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies, investigate unusual transactions, and resolve accounting issues Prepare financial reports, schedules, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders Take ownership of accounting projects from research through resolution Collaborate with teams across the organization to research transactions and address accounting questions Identify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, documentation, and reporting Support audit, tax, year-end reporting, and other accounting requirements Develop a strong understanding of operational and accounting processes, including ERP systems Report directly to the Financial Controller and work primarily in-office at the Wilsonville location Qualifications 6+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience preferred Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; significant relevant experience may be considered Advanced Excel skills, including experience with PivotTables, lookup functions, and data analysis tools Experience with ERP or accounting systems; NetSuite experience is a plus Experience in high-transaction-volume, multi-location, or multi-entity environments is a plus Analytical mindset with the ability to independently research and resolve issues Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities Ability to exercise sound judgment in determining when to escalate issues CPA certification is a plus but not required Compensation $90,000 $110,000 per year Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
