Job Description

American Anthracite is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to support our budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis functions. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role is critical to enabling the organization to make informed decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with several years of experience to step into a visible role within a dynamic, growth-focused company. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, analytical ability, and the confidence to work collaboratively across operational and leadership teams. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-term financial planning models.
  • Partner with department leaders to validate assumptions, monitor performance, and provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare and deliver financial reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis for mining and plant production, track margins, and develop financial models to support business decisions.
  • Promote cost discipline and governance and financial accountability across all operational areas.
  • Manage short- and long-term cash flow forecasting and working capital requirements.
  • Investment analysis including discounted cash flow, return on investment/capital analysis on key business decisions.
  • Development of capital budgets and tracking/analysis of capital spend.
  • Assist with month-end close processes and reporting working closely with the Controller
  • Provide backup support to other accounting and finance functions as needed.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial planning and reporting efficiency. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, accounting, or a similar financial role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Power Query and Power Pivot; experience with Power BI, ERP or financial reporting systems preferred.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting processes including 3-way modelling
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.

      $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
