The company has built a strong reputation for exceptional client service, long-term relationships, and an entrepreneurial culture. The organization is expanding and seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance Manager to play a critical role in its continued growth. Position Overview The Accounting & Finance Manager will lead the company's accounting and financial operations while serving as a trusted business partner to executive leadership. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, ensuring financial accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with the company's external CPA on financial reporting, tax compliance, year-end close, and annual audit activities. This individual will also collaborate with the accounting team of an affiliated organization, leveraging shared resources and best practices while maintaining ownership of the company's day-to-day accounting operations. Key Responsibilities Lead all day-to-day accounting operations and oversee the complete accounting cycle.
Manage:
General Ledger Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Payroll Bank Reconciliations Financial Reporting Month-End and Year-End Close Budgeting and Financial Analysis Serve as the primary liaison with the company's external CPA, coordinating financial reporting, tax filings, year-end close activities, and annual audits. Partner with executive leadership by providing timely financial reporting, insights, and recommendations that support business strategy and growth. Collaborate with the accounting team of an affiliated company to ensure consistency in accounting practices while maintaining ownership of the organization's financial operations. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency. Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, payroll providers, auditors, tax professionals, vendors, and other key business partners. Ensure compliance with GAAP and all applicable financial reporting requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be considered. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Demonstrated experience managing the full accounting cycle in a leadership or senior accounting role. Experience preparing financial statements, managing month-end and year-end close, and supporting budgeting and financial analysis. Experience working with accounting software/ERP systems. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with executive leadership and external business partners.
