WHY DO WE NEED YOU?
Th Accounting & Reporting Business Partner will serve as the primary business contact for several business units who are internal customers of the Shared Service Center (SSC). This key position on the Accounting & Reporting team is a vital link between SSC capabilities and business objectives.Key responsibilities are as follows:
BUSINESS & SSC LIAISON
Manage delivery of services to business, driving highly efficient performance Manage relationship with key business stakeholders and SSC solutions group and represent solutions to their product and process challenges Understand business domains and translate business needs to financial requirements Organize and facilitate key stakeholder communications to drive the visualization, articulation, and decomposition of business challenges into actionable solutions Maintain awareness of changes to organization strategy, goals and processes to ensure requirements appropriately reflect the need of the organizationMANAGEMENT OF MSA & SOW
Coordinate SSC actions on a monthly basis including holding regular meetings with the BUs and reporting on performance metrics or KPIs Ensure MSA and SOW commitments of timeliness, cost, quality, consistency, and reliability of information are delivered as agreed to in the MSA Manage and resolve any strategic service issues between SSC, Service Provider and the BUs Be receptive and responsive to customer feedback from BUs. Escalate service delivery issues of the corresponding business area as appropriate Manage service provider to ensure adherence to MSAs / SOWs by reviewing Service Provider performance reporting Work with Service Provider to address gaps in performanceACCOUNTING AND REPORTING
Ensure key accounting systems used for BU accounting and financial reporting are accessible to Service Provider as needed Support and ensure the execution of the monthly accounting close in accordance with the Saint-Gobain reporting calendar to ensure timely delivery of results to FD's and BU Controllers Ensure that all journal entries and adjustments are explained and documented. Approve journal entries Ensure that a high level of quality control and management review is in place to deliver timely and accurate financial information Oversee and manage the analysis of all balance sheet accounts that are the responsibility of the SSC or Service Provider team Ensure BU balance sheet reconciliations are completed in a timely mannerBUSINESS COMPLIANCE AND INTERNAL CONTROLS
Sponsor and implement SSC internal controls to mitigate risks as specified in the Internal Control Framework Reference document (ICRF) Analyze and identify risks and implement controls to mitigate risks then monitor controls and take any remedial action as required Document all new processes and validate/update current processes to ensure they are accurate and fit for purpose. Review and approve tax packages prepared by Service ProvidePROJECT MANAGEMENT
Promote best practices and benchmarks to improve service levels while lowering overall SSC costs Drive continuous improvement through process change and standardization working in close collaboration with Service Provider Be an agent of change, leading or supporting projects that drive efficiencies through automation and streamlining working in close collaboration with Service Provider Ensure compliance with government statutory reporting forms and requestsIS THIS JOB FOR YOU?
BS Business Administration/Accounting, Advanced Degree preferred Professional certification (CPA, CMA) a plus 10-12 years General Ledger experience required, familiarity with a complex international business preferred Proven results with structured problem solving and continuous improvement, applying Process Excellence/Six Sigma are highly valued Strong knowledge of and practical experience with internal controls Solid technical accounting and financial reporting experience, particularlyU.S. GAAP
required - experience with IFRS accounting principles a plus Experience working with and co-leading outsourced service provider in providing accounting services to internal business customers is preferred Experience with integrated ERP and financial reporting systems required Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Collaborative partnership with outsource Front Office and Tower Leads Experience in coaching outsourced team members, managing across company, geography, and time zones Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain business relationships outside of functional area Demonstrated experience in business analysis, consulting, process engineering or solutions management or other related areas Bilingual is a plusA LITTLE MORE ABOUT US
