Job Description

The Hidden Valley Foundation, Inc. is the master homeowner's association for the Hidden Valley community and has an opening for its Manager of Accounting position. Located in the scenic Laurel Highlands approximately 10 miles from Somerset, Pennsylvania and a one-hour drive from downtown Pittsburgh, the Hidden Valley community consists of 1,100 condominiums, townhouses, and single-family homes located adjacent to the Hidden Valley Resort. The Manager of Accounting is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of the Foundation and reports directly to the Executive Director/Community Manager of the Foundation. The responsibilities of the Manager of Accounting position include: Managing the overall accounting function for the Foundation and four condominium associations Monthly financial statement preparation and reporting Budgeting, forecasting, and cash management Monitoring the financial aspects of the Foundation's strategic long-range plan Interacting with the Foundation's Treasurer, board of directors and its various committees Working with the board of directors of the four separate condominium associations Assisting the Foundation's independent CPA firm in performance of their annual audit and preparation of the Foundation's annual tax return as well as the financial reports and tax returns of the four condominium associations Payroll and associated responsibilities Responding to homeowner requests for financial information Minimum requirements for the position are as follows: Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting At least seven to ten years of relevant and progressive corporate accounting experience Excellent computer skills; must be highly proficient with Excel and Word Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with different accounting systems Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines High degree of professionalism and a passion for accounting Experience with accounting for homeowner's associations, property management companies, or non-profit organizations is desirable but not required. This is a full-time position; competitive salary commensurate with experience. The Foundation offers a comprehensive benefits package.
