Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and oversee all financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy, adherence to regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. As an integral part of our finance department, you will drive financial integrity and support strategic decision-making through meticulous management of accounting processes. Responsibilities Manage and oversee the full spectrum of accounting functions including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable management, and journal entries. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) reporting standards, and other regulatory requirements. Manage and oversee the implementation and integration of multiple organizations through creation, banking, operations, and tax processes. Supervise month-end and year-end closing processes, including balance sheet reconciliation and audit coordination. Oversee all insurance requirements for LLC's as well as insurance subrogation for all subcontractors Interact with subcontractors for all AP/AR and coordination of payments and reconciliations. Collaborate with company president on budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash flow management to inform strategic planning. Establish best practices for all accounting functions and business operations, ie. adding software or programs to further help streamline the business' financial flow. Interface and coordinate with outside bookkeeper and coordination of all financial information and reporting. Ensure confidentiality of sensitive financial information while maintaining compliance with legal standards including wills, trusts & estate law when relevant. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred. Extensive experience in construction accounting with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial concepts. Hands-on experience with accounting software like Sage, Xero, or equivalent systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced spreadsheet skills. Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles, account reconciliation processes, and financial statement preparation. Demonstrated ability to lead teams through mentoring while fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data for strategic decision-making. Experience managing accounts payable/receivable processes along with payroll administration is desirable. Join us to leverage your accounting expertise in a role that challenges you every day! $60,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
