Our client has an immediate need for a Temp-perm Accounting Manager. Both full-time and part time candidates will be considered for this position. The Accounting Manager will serve as the accounting and finance professional for a multi-entity organization. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the monthly close process, preparing financial statements, managing budgeting and forecasting activities, supporting executive decision-making, and ensuring the company has accurate and timely financial information. This is a highly visible role that will partner closely with ownership and executive leadership while helping establish the financial infrastructure necessary to support continued growth. This is a hybrid role with some work in office in Franklin, TN, and some work can be done remotely. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Month-End Close Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements for all entities. Manage and execute the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Produce financial reporting for four entities that all have a low volume of transactions currently. Analyze financial results and communicate key trends, risks, and opportunities to leadership. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting processes. Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting process. Develop and maintain financial forecasts. Monitor budget-to-actual performance and provide variance analysis. Prepare cash flow projections and support working capital management. Assist leadership in evaluating growth initiatives and strategic investments through financial modeling and analysis. Executive Team Partnership Participate in weekly and monthly executive leadership meetings. Present financial results, operating metrics, and business insights to senior management. Provide recommendations to support strategic business decisions. Serve as a trusted financial advisor to company leadership. Partner with department leaders to improve financial accountability and operational performance. Multi-Entity Accounting Oversight Manage accounting activities across four related entities. Ensure the accurate allocation of shared costs among entities. Coordinate with external accounting service providers to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing. Process Improvement & Controls Evaluate and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting efficiency and accuracy. Assist in developing scalable accounting processes to support company growth. Document accounting procedures and establish best practices. Compliance & External Relationships Coordinate with external CPAs, tax advisors, and other financial service providers. Assist with tax preparation, audits, and regulatory compliance activities. Ensure accurate financial records are maintained in accordance with GAAP. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation. Experience leading month-end close and financial reporting processes. Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with executive leadership. Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks online Preferred CPA designation a plus but not required. Experience with multi-entity organizations. Manufacturing, consumer products, eCommerce, or direct-to-consumer industry experience. Cost accounting and inventory accounting experience a plus Experience working with outsourced accounting service providers. Experience in a high-growth or entrepreneurial business environment.
