We're partnering with a nationally recognized, highly respected organization at the center of the U.S. real estate industry to find an Accounting Manager with a strong foundation in public accounting audit or assurance . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has developed the technical rigor that comes from public accounting and is ready to bring that experience in-house, taking greater ownership of the close, understanding the business behind the numbers, improving processes, and building a long-term career with one organization. This role offers real visibility, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to continue growing your accounting expertise while making a meaningful impact. Is This You? You've built a strong technical foundation in public accounting audit or assurance - testing controls, digging into balance sheets, reviewing supporting documentation, and learning what accuracy really means under deadline pressure. That experience sharpened your attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to ask the right questions. Now, you're ready for what comes next: You want to move beyond rotating client engagements and become deeply involved with one organization. You're looking for greater ownership of the close process, the opportunity to understand the business behind the numbers, and a team where you can grow and build something over time. Ideally, you have approximately 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in public accounting audit or assurance . Whether your experience comes from a Big 4 firm, a national or regional firm such as RSM, Crowe, Baker Tilly, BDO, Grant Thornton, Plante Moran, CLA, Wipfli, or a respected local accounting firm, what matters most is the technical discipline you've developed, your progression, and your interest in finding a long-term opportunity where you can continue to grow.

What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required) Approximately 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience At least 2 years of public accounting audit or assurance experience (required) Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience strongly preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving ability Excellent attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Collaborative, positive, team-first approach Demonstrated career progression and a history of meaningful tenure within prior organizations Corporate or nonprofit accounting experience is a plus
Why This Opportunity:
For many professionals transitioning from public accounting, the next step is about having the opportunity to own the work, understand the business, improve processes, build lasting relationships, and see the impact of what you do. You'll join a highly respected organization with an experienced and collaborative team, gain meaningful exposure across the business, and have the opportunity to continue developing while building a long-term career.
