Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager will serve as the second-in-command within Corporate Accounting and act as the Controller's primary delegate, providing leadership across revenue accounting, general ledger operations, financial close activities, internal controls, and team development This role will lead the Company's revenue cycle across all contracts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance. The Accounting Manager will drive process improvements to strengthen internal controls, increase efficiency, and accelerate month-end close, while contributing thought leadership around finance innovation and best practices. This individual will own a disciplined pre-close and month-end close process, with a mandate to reduce the current 10-day close process to 7 days. The role will also serve as a key data integrity leader as the Company evaluates and implements a new ERP over the next 12 months. In partnership with Technology, Sales, and Operations, the Accounting Manager will ensure clean, consistent data flows from CRM and Professional Services Automation (PSA) systems into the ERP, supporting financial accuracy and operational scalability. The ideal candidate brings SaaS experience (financial services preferred, not required) and a strong command of revenue recognition, including ASC 606 and its application. This leader will be energetic, thoughtful, and approachable, serving as a trusted resource to staff and senior accountants, and a collaborative partner to cross-functional teams. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with meaningful influence on the Company's financial operations and growth. This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, evolving requirements, and coordination across multiple time zones. A strong sense of urgency, sound judgment, adaptability, and ownership mindset are critical for success. Impact You Will Make (Responsibilities): Maintain deep expertise in
U.S. GAAP
revenue recognition, including ASC 606 and SaaS subscriptions Interpret and analyze customer contracts to extract key financial and accounting implications Lead the monthly close and reporting process (revenue and expense), including journal entries, account reconciliations, and review of staff work Assist the Controller in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and maintaining strong internal controls across all accounting processes Apply accounting guidance to complex scenarios and prepare clear, well-supported technical memos Support and contribute to the annual audit process Partner cross-functionally to improve processes across the revenue cycle Directly manage, coach, develop, and evaluate accounting personnel Drive enhancements in systems and processes, including ERP implementation efforts Lead or support special projects as needed Expertise You Will Bring (Skills & Qualifications): Bachelor's degree in accounting 8+ years of progressive accounting experience 6+ years of hands-on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and transactional accounting 4+ years of deep technical experience with strong working knowledge and practical application of ASC 606 1+ years of people-management experience CPA strongly preferred Ability to operate effectively in a fast-growing, dynamic environment Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with strong problem-solving ability Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate insights clearly to management Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build cross-functional relationships Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) Experience with financial systems (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Workday) preferred Experience with system implementations preferred Familiarity with or curiosity about leveraging Microsoft 365 Copilot preferred
