Job Description

As a CAS Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of accounting professionals to deliver exceptional client accounting services. You will oversee all aspects of client accounting operations, including financial reporting, transaction processing, and client relationship management. Your strong leadership skills, in-depth accounting knowledge, and commitment to client satisfaction will contribute to the success of our client accounting department.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Client Accounting Support:
Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, reconciliations, and adjustments Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements prepared by the team Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders Analyze financial data, identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and provide insights and recommendations to clients and management Interface with audit and tax partners
Client Communication and Support:
Serve as the main point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong relationships based on trust and exceptional service Understand clients' business objectives, challenges, and requirements, and provide strategic financial advice and solutions Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction Communicate financial information, insights, and recommendations to clients, management, and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner Identify opportunities for upselling or expanding services and escalating to the appropriate business advisors
Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management Set performance goals, provide ongoing feedback and coaching, and conduct regular performance evaluations Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting professional growth and knowledge sharing Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, and audit, to ensure effective coordination and delivery of client accounting services
Process Improvement and Compliance:
Continuously evaluate and improve client accounting processes, systems, and controls to drive efficiency and accuracy Implement best practices and streamline workflows to optimize productivity and quality of deliverables Stay updated with accounting regulations and industry trends, implementing changes as necessary Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and client-specific requirements Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and addressing audit findings Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard client assets and ensure data integrity Responsible for billing clients, accounts receivable, maintaining departmental budgets, financial performance, and gross profit target Maintain and drive the achievement of department goals, aligning with the company's strategic vision and ensuring successful outcomes for consulting projects and client engagements Supervisory responsibilities Will supervise subordinate team members Conduct performance reviews Work environment Work is conducted in a professional office environment with minimal distractions Physical demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of time Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time Travel required Travel may be frequent and unpredictable, depending on client's needs Required education and experience Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business 6+ years of relevant Accounting/Finance and management/supervisory experience in public accounting, professional services, corporate or private industry Thorough understanding of advanced accounting principles Supervisory experience, large staff Experience with QuickBooks Online Preferred education and experience Advanced degree/MBA CPA license or relevant certification Other duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the colleague for this job.
