Job Description
The Director of Investments is responsible for the leadership, oversight, and execution of the firm's investment management process. This individual will serve as the internal subject matter expert on portfolio construction, asset allocation, investment research, and portfolio analytics while partnering closely with advisors to deliver exceptional investment outcomes for clients. They will oversee ongoing due diligence and monitoring of investment solutions, provide investment recommendations and client analysis, and ensure investment processes are scalable, repeatable, and aligned with the firm's fiduciary responsibilities. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in office.
Qualifications:
INVESTMENT STRATEGY & PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of the firm's investment philosophy and portfolio management process. Design and maintain strategic and tactical asset allocation models. Oversee portfolio construction across client segments and account types. Evaluate and implement portfolio enhancements, including alternative investments, direct indexing, tax-efficient strategies, and asset location methodologies. Monitor market conditions and economic trends and provide recommendations for portfolio positioning. Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of mutual funds, ETFs, separately managed accounts, alternative investments, and other investment vehicles.PORTFOLIO ANALYSIS & CLIENT INVESTMENT SUPPORT
Analyze client portfolios and provide investment recommendations to advisors. Perform portfolio reviews, performance analysis, risk assessments, and benchmark comparisons. Participate in client meetings and provide technical investment expertise when appropriate. Explain investment strategies, portfolio performance, and market conditions to clients in a clear and understandable manner. Participate in annual review meetings for high-net-worth clients.LEADERSHIP & TEAM DEVELOPMENT
Develop policies, procedures, and written investment standards. Mentor and train advisors, planners, and investment personnel. Create scalable investment processes that improve efficiency and consistency. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field. 5+ years of portfolio management experience SIE, Series 6, 63, and 7 licenses CFA, CIMA or similar investment designation is desired Prior team leadership experience Strong analytical and communication skillsBENEFITS
