Job Description

Job Overview The Finance Manager at Neuhaus Chocolates will combine operational ownership with strong analytical and business-partnering capabilities. You will work closely with the US Managing Director, our headquarters in Belgium and external partners to create accurate financial insights, reinforce internal controls and support sound business decisions. As Neuhaus continues to expand its retail and wholesale activities across the United States, strong and future. Key Responsibilities
  • You lead and coordinate the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes, ensuring that financial information is complete, accurate and delivered on time.
  • You prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and financial analyses in close coordination with our headquarters in Belgium.
  • You monitor key performance indicators and translate financial information into clear insights that support commercial and operational decision-making.
  • You contribute to the improvement of reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes, making them more consistent, efficient and business-focused.
  • You oversee and process the bi-weekly payroll in coordination with external payroll providers.
  • You manage boutique cash reconciliation and ensure that discrepancies are identified, investigated and resolved promptly.
  • You monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations and the company's overall cash position.
  • You are responsible for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice processing, collections and vendor management.
  • You ensure the proper recording of expenses and the timely and accurate payment of vendors.
  • You monitor aging reports, follow up on outstanding receivables and help manage credit risks.
  • You ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local tax requirements, including sales tax and corporate filings.
  • You coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, insurance providers and other financial partners when required.
  • You identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate financial processes, reducing manual work while improving efficiency and accuracy.
  • You play a leading role in the migration to a new ERP system, working closely with our headquarters, IT colleagues and external implementation partners.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
  • You hold a degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. A CPA qualification is a strong asset.
  • You have at least seven years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, preferably within audit, retail, consumer goods or FMCG.
  • You have a strong understanding of US GAAP and relevant US tax regulations.
  • You have broad, hands-on experience with financial operations, including closing, reporting, payroll, cash management, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • You are comfortable working with accounting and ERP systems. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, SAP or similar platforms is an asset.
  • You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and are able to translate financial data into clear and actionable business insights.
  • You are technology-minded and actively look for opportunities to improve, automate and simplify financial processes.
  • You communicate clearly and confidently with internal stakeholders, external advisors and international colleagues.
  • Experience working within an international organization is considered a strong advantage.
