We're partnering with a global technology organization to hire an experienced Financial Analysis Manager to provide temporary support to a Finance and Accounting team in San Mateo. This position will play an important role in analyzing revenue, margins, operational data, and financial performance while supporting month-end close and reporting activities. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who enjoys working with large datasets, can identify trends and discrepancies, and is comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift. What You'll Do Evaluate revenue and margin results across business units and help support accurate financial reporting. Assist with financial estimates, including reserves, partner/member payments, and other balance sheet items. Support the revenue review process during monthly financial close. Review high-volume revenue and COGS transaction data to identify inconsistencies, trends, and potential financial issues. Work with cross-functional teams to investigate discrepancies and determine appropriate solutions. Assess how operational data issues may affect financial reporting and downstream business processes. Help develop monthly reporting and presentations for leadership, including key performance trends and business drivers. Provide financial analysis and documentation for external audits and SOX compliance activities. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and overall efficiency. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. 5+ years of experience in FP&A, operational finance, accounting, or financial/data analysis, preferably within a public company. Strong understanding of accounting principles and the month-end close process. Demonstrated experience working with large transaction datasets and evaluating their financial impact. Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookups, and data manipulation. Experience with enterprise-level ERP systems; Oracle experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with Tableau; SQL experience is a plus. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to turn complex information into clear recommendations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different teams. Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and work independently in a dynamic environment. A continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to identify and solve process challenges.
