As a mainly contingency firm handling large-scale class actions, mass torts, and mass arbitration matters, the Accounting Manager will use SurePoint Finance Enterprise Cloud to examine and report the profitability of each attorney and practice group's work on each matter. This role is hands‑on and responsible for core accounting functions, monthly close, and maintaining accurate, audit‑ready financial records. The firm values professional growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable and ensure timely, accurate invoice processing.
  • Prepare and post journal entries; maintain general ledger accuracy.
  • Monitor cash activity and assist with cash flow tracking.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts and prepare the books for monthly close.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting in partnership with firm leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Provide reporting, analyses, and support for ad‑hoc financial projects.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes and controls.
  • Reliable AP processing aligned with firm policies.
  • Clear, accurate reporting that supports leadership decision‑making.
  • Responsiveness on ad‑hoc projects and proactive process improvement.
  • Accurate reconciliations and clean, audit‑ready financial records. Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience within a law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles.
  • Experience with AP, general ledger management, reconciliations, and monthly close.
  • High attention to detail, strong organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Experience with SurePoint and other law firm accounting, time, and billing systems strongly preferred.

Pay:
$100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
