Job Description

Manager of Investment Accounting - Long-Term Consultant (Up to 24 Months)
Location:
Hybrid out of Conshohocken, PA - 3 days onsite
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) A well-established financial organization is seeking an experienced Investment Accounting Manager to lead a team responsible for investment accounting operations, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support across a complex investment portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with investment or fund accounting leadership experience who enjoys improving processes, mentoring teams, and working across multiple departments. What You'll Do Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 7 Investment Accounting professionals, including direct reports and supervisory oversight. Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, support goal setting, and participate in annual performance reviews. Oversee monthly and annual investment accounting reconciliations for 3,000+ investment holdings, including custodial accounts, pooled investments, alternative assets, and NAV calculations. Manage month-end close activities, including P&L, general ledger, and accrual reconciliations. Ensure alignment between IBOR and ABOR records and resolve reconciliation discrepancies. Partner with internal teams including Treasury, Investment Operations, Donor Administration, and Finance. Serve as a key contact for financial data inquiries and system-related solutions. Support annual audit preparation by building workpapers and providing documentation for auditors. Process alternative investment adjustments and delayed valuation entries. Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of investment, fund, or portfolio accounting experience. Previous experience leading or supervising an accounting team.
Strong understanding of:
Investment reconciliations Month-end close General Ledger and Trial Balance NAV calculations
IBOR/ABOR
environments (or similar investment accounting platforms) Experience supporting external audits. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Process improvement mindset with the ability to streamline workflows. Nice to Have Experience with alternative investments. Background in asset management, wealth management, donor-advised funds, foundations, or financial services. Salesforce or investment accounting system experience. Why This Opportunity? Pay:
$100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
