This role sits at the intersection of our clients and development team. You will be responsible for ensuring Jira work items are properly defined, technically actionable, prioritized, scheduled, and progressing as expected. You do not need to be a software developer, but you should be highly technical and comfortable discussing mortgage workflows, LOS platforms, APIs, integrations, data mappings, loan lifecycle events, and system behavior with both clients and engineers. A major part of this position is communication. You will ensure clients understand timelines, open questions, dependencies, implementation requirements, and current project status while making sure our developers have the information they need to move work forward. Responsibilities Own the day-to-day progression of client-facing technical projects and Jira work items. Review incoming requests and ensure tickets contain sufficient business and technical requirements before they are assigned to development. Work within our mortgage web application to gather test evidence and build work requirements. Work with clients to clarify requirements, workflows, expected system behavior, field mappings, integration requirements, and acceptance criteria. Translate client requirements into clear, actionable information for developers. Coordinate with engineering to estimate, prioritize, schedule, and track development work. Proactively identify tickets that are blocked, missing information, falling behind schedule, or require client decisions. Maintain clear project timelines and communicate delivery expectations to clients. Provide regular status updates regarding active projects, enhancements, integrations, and outstanding issues. Manage client expectations when requirements, priorities, dependencies, or timelines change. Coordinate testing, client validation, and production rollout of completed work. Understand client mortgage workflows sufficiently to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and potential implementation issues before development begins. Participate in technical discussions involving APIs, webhooks, LOS integrations, data mappings, document workflows, loan status changes, and other mortgage technology processes. Maintain accurate Jira statuses, priorities, due dates, dependencies, and project documentation. Serve as a primary point of contact between clients, internal stakeholders, and engineering for active technical work. Hands-on experience with one or more Loan Origination Systems such as Encompass, MeridianLink, Byte, Empower, Calyx, LendingPad , or similar platforms. Experience implementing, supporting, configuring, or integrating mortgage software. Strong understanding of mortgage origination workflows and the loan lifecycle. Strong project management and organizational skills. Experience managing work through Jira or a similar issue/project management platform. Excellent client communication skills, particularly around project status, technical requirements, timelines, and delays. Ability to take an ambiguous client request and turn it into a clearly defined technical work item. Ability to manage multiple client projects and priorities simultaneously. Comfortable holding both internal teams and clients accountable for required actions and deadlines. Preferred Background Candidates may have previously held roles such as: Technical Implementation Manager Mortgage Technology Implementation Manager Technical Project Manager Integration Manager LOS Administrator / LOS Implementation Specialist Mortgage Technology Consultant Solutions Consultant Technical Account Manager Implementation Consultant Experience working directly with Encompass or MeridianLink implementations and integrations is especially valuable. What Success Looks Like Success in this role means: Developers rarely receive tickets that are missing critical requirements. Clients always know the current status and expected timeline of their projects. Blocked projects are identified and escalated quickly. Jira accurately reflects what is being worked on, what is coming next, and what is waiting on the client. Technical questions are resolved quickly without developers having to manage client communication themselves. Projects move from request to development to testing to production in an organized and predictable manner. Clients feel that someone is actively managing their requests rather than simply submitting tickets into a development queue. Role Profile This is a client-facing technical delivery role , not a software engineering position. The ideal candidate understands mortgage operations deeply enough to speak the client's language while also understanding software integrations deeply enough to speak the developer's language. You will effectively be the person responsible for making sure that nothing falls through the cracks between the client requesting something and the development team delivering it .
