Full Job Description Accounting Manager Job Type:
Full-Time, Direct Hire Salary $110,000-$130,000 annually FULLY onsite position. We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the day-to-day accounting operations for a growing manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and month-end close while leading a small accounting team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting knowledge, experience in a manufacturing environment, and a passion for process improvement. Responsibilities Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process. Oversee daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses to ensure accuracy. Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reporting. Supervise, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team. Oversee inventory accounting, fixed assets, and manufacturing-related accounting activities. Monitor cash collections, vendor payments, and working capital performance. Support external audits, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance. Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and support ERP system enhancements. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other financial projects. Administer employee expense reporting systems. Record and reconcile payroll-related journal entries and associated accounts. Support required financial reporting and compliance filings. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience. Manufacturing accounting experience preferred. Experience working with ERP systems. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close processes. Experience managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and cash flow activities. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
