Back To Results Accounting Manager Job Description We are working with a global manufacturing company that is in need of an experienced Accounting Manager at their office in the Greenville/Spartanburg area.
Position details a as follows:
Drive month-end closings and review all reconciliations Prepare and file recurring borrowing base calculations Manage recurring inventory procedures: Schedule and perform cycle counts Schedule and perform semi-annual full physical counts Review monthly rollforward of activity Prepare analysis of month-end valuation Produce and distribute monthly financial results for management and quarterly covenant compliance Prepare and distribute month-end management sales reports Prepare and distribute weekly cash forecasting Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including: General ledger journal entries Cash receipts Accounts receivable posting Inventory receipts and shipments Fixed asset and depreciation reconciliation Goodwill and intangible asset amortization Accounts payable and check runs Debt and interest activity Payroll posting Revenue and expenditure variance analysis Monitors adherence to all company accounting policies and internal controls, including: Recognition of depreciable assets Revenue recognition Travel expenses Assist with analysis and preparation of annual budgeting process Assist with analysis and preparation of annual standard cost assessment process Point person for bank exams, year-end audits, annual tax filings, and 401k audits Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions
REQUIREMENTS
: CPA required with a BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business, post-graduate degree is a plus. Technical Skills and Prior Experience Progressive working experience with financial reporting and accounting management. Advanced pivot table and Excel skills capable of handling large volumes of data. Experience with accounting systems required, experience with Macola or SQL preferred.
