Manager of Accounting Coulter & Justus, PC, a Knoxville based CPA firm, is assisting a client with its search for an exceptionally well qualified financial accounting manager (with opportunity for fast growth in responsibility). This client is West Knoxville based, locally owned and a well-established group of businesses operating throughout the Knoxville area. Exceptional office working environment.

Responsibilities:

• Hands on role working in and overseeing the accounting functions and ensuring accurate record keeping and reporting
• Provide financial support for projects, transactions and related business activities
• Support and develop appropriate internal controls
• Assist with budgets/forecasts and provide oversight of revenue measures, expenses and variance analyses
• Coordinate with external CPAs and assist with compliance with local, state, and federal reporting and tax filings
• Effectively utilize financial accounting expertise and experience to support operational, technology and organization wide improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar financial degree
• Minimum of 6 years of professional accounting experience
• CPA a plus but not required
• Prior experience with complex accounting software
• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships
• Strong communication skills and a team player
• Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
