Principal Financial Planning & Analysis Rocket Companies - 3.6 Lewisville, TX Job Details Full-time 3 hours ago Qualifications Financial model construction Presentation software Bachelor's degree Accounting and finance experience Financial projection model development Excel data analysis Full Job Description As the Senior Financial Analyst, you are a critical member of the FP&A team, responsible for monthly forecasting, management reporting, and variance analysis at all levels of the P&L, cost centers and consolidated. You work closely with Xome business leaders to ensure forecast assumptions are aligned with current work initiatives. A key function of the Senior Analyst is to build and maintain forecast models and ad hoc analyses that support accurate projections and variance explanations to support and guide business decisions. About the r ole Prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for areas of responsibility. Support the month-end close and monthly forecast for areas of responsibility, covering revenue, cost of revenue, and operating expenses. Build the forecast including analysis, variance commentary, and supporting materials, to review with the General Manager and Finance team. Prepare and review month-end accruals against forecast, load forecast into the financial planning tool (Workday Adaptive Planning), and reconcile actuals to forecast. Forecast capitalized costs and the related depreciation and amortization. Partner with Accounting on the capitalization timeline. Support SOX controls and documentation for areas of responsibility. Requirement Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; CPA, CFA, or MBA a plus. 6+ years in FP&A or corporate finance; background in technology, real estate, mortgage/servicing, accounting, commercial banking, or investment banking a plus. Advanced financial modeling skills, with the ability to turn large, complex data sets into clear analysis leadership can act on. Expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; proficient in a financial planning tool (Workday Adaptive Planning, Oracle, TM1, Hyperion, or similar). Workday and Power BI a plus. Strong written and verbal communication, including presenting to executives.Written Communication:
