Job Description

ROLE This role requires public accounting experience — it's the core qualification, and applicants without it won't be a fit. You'll manage the books for a portfolio of business clients across different industries, owning their monthly and year-end accounting from reconciliation through financial statements. Bookkeeping and payroll are the core of the work; tax preparation is a welcome addition if you have it. As the firm grows, you'll typically take on new clients as they come in. You'll also be the first point of contact for the accounting staff — answering their questions, coaching them, reviewing their work, and keeping projects on track to completion.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Manage bookkeeping for multiple business clients across a range of industries Process payroll and payroll tax filings accurately and on time Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts Prepare sales tax reports and other compliance filings Communicate directly with clients about their accounting needs Support clients using QuickBooks Online (QBO) or QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) Manage multiple client deadlines while keeping work accurate Serve as the first point of contact for accounting staff — coaching, reviewing work, and monitoring completion of work Take on new clients as the firm's book of business grows
NEEDS TO HAVE
Public accounting experience (required — this is the core qualification for the role) 5+ years of bookkeeping and payroll experience Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) or QuickBooks Desktop (QBD) Solid grounding in accounting principles Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines with accuracy Clear communication and client-service skills Strong organization and time management Attention to detail

Tax preparation experience (individuals and businesses)
CPA, CPA

Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
