full-time Accounting Manager Sherman, TX | Onsite | About the Role An established industrial products manufacturer and distributor in the Sherman, TX area is hiring an Accounting Manager to take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations and reporting. This is a broad, hands-on seat inside a small accounting function. The company is currently moving off manual, spreadsheet and QuickBooks driven processes and into an integrated ERP, order entry, and warehouse management environment. The person hired will run the accounting cycle, build the reporting leadership uses to run the business, and play a direct role in that system implementation. It is a strong fit for someone who wants scope and visibility rather than a narrow lane. This role works closely with senior leadership and is positioned to grow into broader operational and general management responsibility as the business scales. Responsibilities Own full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and drop-ship billing coordination Perform general ledger work including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month end close Build and deliver recurring financial and operational reporting to leadership Support the selection and implementation of an integrated ERP, order entry, and warehouse management platform, replacing manual invoicing workflows Analyze cost, freight, and margin trends and provide commentary that informs operating decisions Provide light HR and general business administration support as needed Take on expanded responsibility over time as the accounting and finance function is built out Requirements 3 to 12 years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on AP and AR ownership QuickBooks Desktop experience is essential Experience operating in a lean accounting environment where the function is one or two people deep Ability to be productive quickly without training on core accounting fundamentals Strong Excel skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred Schedule, Compensation & Benefits Fully onsite, 5 days per week Standard office hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Discretionary bonus PTO
